This expansion/renovation project is designed to accommodate a growing law enforcement agency in the greater Toledo area. Upon completion, the station is now twice the size of the original facility, with structure in place to expand to a second floor as the community continues to grow. Improvements included the addition of a temporary holding cell with an alcohol testing station, detectives area with two interview rooms equipped with A/V recording system, enlarged roll call area, and improvements to the records and evidence areas. The lobby was designed with a "safe area" for domestic violence incidents and secured public access to records clerks. The station provides 24/7 dispatching for the township's public safety forces, therefore many creature comforts were designed into the all new dispatch center, including sound isolation and individual lighting controls for the four dispatch consoles as well as a "quiet room" to allow dispatchers time away from the busy and sometimes stressful desk.
